Bacteria (like the kind from fermented foods) can help with preventing infant death from sepsis and lung infections.

August 18, 2017

Research just published today in the journal Nature has shown that the same bacteria found in fermented foods can help prevent serious blood born in infections in infants, therefore preventing infant death.

Signs of infection come on quickly and even require hospitalisation after several hours.  For about one dollar per supplement, these probiotics can help prevent such illnesses.

Reach research out of Canada was so successful that they ended the study early and started the intervention immediately. The newborns in jested this probiotic, lactobacillus planetarum, for a week have reduced the risk of these complications by 40%!
